Water pump not pumping

I went to winterize the other day and everything was going good until I started pumping the antifreeze. I blew out the lines and bypassed the water heater. I then went and opened the valve on my pump to the hose that goes in the antifreeze bottle, but forgot to close the one that goes to the tank. It pumped about a half a gallon of antifreeze and stopped. Now it doesn't want to suck anymore into the system. I put the valves back to the tank and put water in the tank to start over and I cannot get it to start pumping again. The pump comes on but there is no suction. When it is running, you can tell there is no load on it. Anyone got any ideas? It is getting pretty cold at night and I want to get this done.

RE: Dakota and Jayco 19H

Your Dakota should be fine.
That price is too high. Even though my 07 doesn't have electric awning or flat screen, I paid right around $14,000 with hitch work.

RE: Jayco Jayfeather 19H Help

I believe that price is high. I paid that for my 2007(new) with hitch setup. Also, I believe your Honda would not be enough. Your towing capacity is only 3500 for a trailer and that is what the 19H is dry(no gear). I wish sometimes I had something bigger, but then again with gas here at $4.19 my Explorer does the job fine.

RE: ??? - inside light visible around tent/camper seam

It looks weird but I don't think it is a problem.

RE: ??? - inside light visible around tent/camper seam

My 19H has the same thing. It has a few spots on the front bunk where the sun seems to shine more than other spots. It doesn't leak, so I wasn't concerned. I'm not sure if I should be.

Awning Mildew

We are on our first trip of the year and noticed when we unrolled the awning yesterday, there were some spots of mildew on it(along the edges) from being in storage. Is there anyway to keep water out of the awning when in storage or is this something that happens regularly and just have to clean it every spring?

RE: ??? re 2008 Jayco-delamination, or normal condition?

The same thing happened to me. After a few days of warming up, it was gone.

RE: what is the best way to empty holding tank

I love the referral to MOPP-4. Here it is for you civilians.
MOPP (Mission Oriented Protective Posture)is a military term used to describe protective gear, to be used in a toxic environment, i.e., during a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear strike.

RE: Spring bars and Hitch at the site

I lay my bars across the tongue and leave the hitch on the truck. Does anyone else worry about leaving the hitch on? I always think I am going to get up one morning and find it gone. How many lock it on?

RE: Jayco Jay Feather 19H Owners.....Please Help.

I use a Reese Weight Distribution Hitch with sway bar. I don't have as much truck as you but I still think it is necessary. The dealer installed mine and I have had no issues so far. Trailer follows nicely even on windy days. Hope it helps.

RE: Jayfeather EXP 19H Question

We purchased a Jayco 19 last year. I thought we might have a problem with the lower stance, but we have had no issues. I park it on a slab in my driveway and it has a pretty steep incline to get it up there. I thought I might have some issues, but did not. I also parked it in some not so level campgrounds and still did not have a problem. Hope it helps.

Installed New Thermostat

I just finished installing a new Hunter thermostat, yesterday. It took all of 10 minutes. I lugged the battery up from the basement to make sure I hooked it up correctly. It works perfectly and looks better, too. The factory thermostat was junk. Just another mod I learned about on these boards. Thanks, guys.

RE: Powered fan & Vent cover ?

I bought the regular cover for the same reason you stated. It works fine and plenty of air flows through it.

RE: Jayco 23B and Tornado

I mounted my Tornado across from the drain on the angle section on my Jayco 19h. It works great.
